When Healing Goes Beyond the Physical
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, healing isn’t only about the body — it’s also about the spirit. More than a thousand years ago, the great physician Sun Si-Miao spoke of something called the 13 Ghost Points — not to chase real ghosts, but to heal the invisible ones that live within us: fear, grief, obsession, confusion, and the loss of one’s inner light.
These points are a timeless reminder that sometimes what haunts us is not outside, but inside — and that healing begins with returning home to ourselves.
The Story Behind the Ghost Points
In ancient Chinese medicine, the word “ghost” was a poetic way to describe being overtaken by emotion — when stress, trauma, or sorrow cloud the mind and dull the spirit.
Sun Si-Miao organized 13 acupuncture points into a path of healing that clears confusion, releases emotional weight, and restores peace of mind.
“Healing begins when we face what haunts us — and let it go.”

How They’re Used Today
Modern acupuncturists use the Ghost Points gently, often choosing just two or three in a session. They’re known to help release emotional stress, trauma, anxiety, burnout, and a feeling of being ‘stuck.’ Many people describe the experience as deeply relaxing — sometimes emotional, sometimes profoundly quiet.
Each treatment is a small invitation to come home to yourself again.
Though their names sound mystical, the 13 Ghost Points speak to something very real:
We all carry invisible burdens.
Through mindful healing — whether with acupuncture, breath, or rest — we can clear the fog, calm the heart, and rediscover the peace that was never truly lost.
